Support the crucial work of the JHGC by becoming an annual member. This membership will offer you access to exclusive events for one year, including many private openings to international temporary exhibitions, workshops by top scholars, film screenings, and other special events.

Volunteering your Time and Expertise
Volunteers are the life-blood of the Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre, assisting in all aspects of the running of the Centre.
Volunteer hours can be flexible and adjustable to suit your current circumstances but internships are also available for those wishing to commit more regular hours and wanting to gain on-the-job training that is aligned to their studies or work experience. Younger volunteers are able to complete their school community service hours at the JHGC in many areas of the day-to-day running of the Centre.
We particularly need assistance with the following:
- Assisting facilitators with educational workshops
- Providing guided tours of the building to visitors
- Supervising the visitor’s reception area
- Administrative duties
- Expertise in fundraising, publicity and marketing
- Archive
- Research and translation
- Special projects
